LP-Pipe Long-Range Pipeline Inspection UAV
The LP-Pipe Long-Range Pipeline Inspection UAV is engineered to monitor hundreds of kilometres of buried and above-ground oil and gas pipelines. A laser-based methane detector senses gas plumes from up to 200 metres away, allowing crews to detect small leaks from a safe standoff distance without walking the right-of-way. A 30× optical zoom EO camera captures HD imagery of valve stations, cathodic protection test points and signs of third-party excavation. Onboard GIS logging geotags every defect with centimetre-level accuracy for repeat visits and historical comparison. With up to 60 minutes of endurance and an extended 8 km control range, one sortie replaces hours of ground patrol. Data uploads automatically to the cloud platform, where AI flags leak candidates, corrosion indicators and encroachment events for prioritised maintenance.
